#NationalBallCheckDay
GUYS!
If you haven’t checked your testicles for signs of cancer, Jason Greenspan has designed a day with you in mind! It could be the most important couple of minutes of your life.
Tomorrow, April 7, 2020, is the first ever #NationalBallCheckDay.
I was at a loss for words when I learned about Jason’s cancer journey.
“The week before my high school prom, I was diagnosed with testicular cancer. I was 18 years old,” Jason told me when we spoke on the phone earlier this year.
Talk about a life-changing moment. The Maryland teenager went from a normal high school senior to a cancer patient needing surgery and chemotherapy.
Jason didn’t let that experience defeat him.
Instead, he used it as motivation to help others. Now in his mid-20s, Jason is the driving force behind National Ball Check Day. This first-ever testicular self-exam campaign is happening on April 7, 2020.
Here is some information about NBCD, straight from www.nationalballcheckday.com.
(If you don’t know how to perform a testicular self-exam, there are easy instructions on the site.)
“Testicular cancer is most common in males 15-44 years old and 99% curable if detected early.
Join us to celebrate National Ball Check Day™ on the first Tuesday in April to raise awareness for testicular cancer.
National Ball Check Day™ is a social media campaign and day aiming to MANdate testicular self-exams and raise awareness for early detection of testicular cancer. Our mission is to eliminate the stigma surrounding this type of cancer. This is the first-ever day dedicated to performing testicular self-exams and we are a compliment of Testicular Cancer Awareness Month.
