A Note from the Directors Desk | Q4 Newsletter 2025

Greetings MUTC Community,

I want to take this moment to thank you and recognize each of you for what you

contribute to our organization, our mission, and to one another. This community continues to inspire me every day. You show up for each other through the highs and the lows, and that is what Man Up To Cancer is all about: opening up about our hopes and fears, accepting help when we need it, and standing alongside others on this journey. Thank you for making this such a meaningful and welcoming place for all of us.

A look back at 2025:

This year was one of important growth and momentum. In the spring, we successfully migrated to our own platform and now welcome more than 1,100 members connecting directly through the Man Up To Cancer app. In July, we hired our first full-time Executive Director (hello!), providing steady leadership as we continue to strengthen our programsand services. We also nominated and elected our first Board Chair, Michael Holtz, ensuring the patient voice is represented in our volunteer leadership. Most importantly, we expanded our programming to reach more men impacted by cancer.

What I’m proud of in 2025:

  • Our community grew from 600 members in May to 1,110 today

  • More than 650 Backpacks were distributed to men in treatment

  • Over 900 meetups were hosted to help men connect with one another

  • The Gathering of Wolves welcomed 165 men—the largest retreat for men impacted by cancer ever

  • Industry partner revenue doubled from 2024 to 2025

What I’m looking forward to in 2026:

  • Launching our annual member survey

  • Hosting quarterly town halls to hear directly from you

  • Building partnerships with nonprofits that improve quality of life for our members

  • Introducing an Ombudsman role

  • Expanding our education series

  • Welcoming Joe Bullock as our second full-time MUTC staff member

We accomplished so much together in 2025 and we have you to thank for it. I’m committed to continuing to learn, reflect, and grow in this role as we work to make Man Up To Cancer the best possible experience for everyone involved. I’m especially looking forward to hearing your ideas and insights as we shape what comes next. We’re all on this journey together. Thank you for supporting one another, and thank you for an incredible year, Wolfpack.

Best,

Matt Kozlovac
Executive Director
