Trevor Maxwell

Trevor Maxwell is founder of Man Up to Cancer, a non-profit organization that inspires men to connect and avoid isolation during their cancer journeys.

What started as a concept he discussed while sitting in his car in late 2019 has evolved into a movement of more than 3,000 members across more than 40 chapters.

Trevor is the author of “Open Heart, Warrior Spirit: A Man’s Guide to Living with Cancer.

He has been living with stage IV colon cancer since March of 2018. He has undergone seven major surgeries, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and a clinical trial. As a patient leader, he has received the Annette Cook Cancer Warrior Award and the Amanda Dempsey Award.

As a speaker, Trevor has given more than 20 keynotes and presentations at the local, regional, and national level about men and cancer, resilience, and how to pivot in the face of adversity, He and his wife Sarah have two daughters (and of course Grace the Labrador Retriever) and they live in Cape Elizabeth, Maine.
