Man Up to Cancer Announces New Members of Its Board of Directors

CAPE ELIZABETH, Me. —January 26, 2026— Man Up to Cancer, a nonprofit organization
dedicated to helping men facing cancer avoid isolation and find connection, proudly announces
the appointment of four new members to its Board of Directors. These accomplished leaders
bring a diverse range of professional expertise, lived experience, and passion for the
organization’s mission to help men survive and thrive through cancer.

The newly appointed board members include:

  • Mitch Stoller, President of Stoller Strategic Group, brings decades of experience in the
cancer philanthropy space to Man Up to Cancer having served most recently as Chief
Philanthropic Officer and Vice President of Development for the American Association
for Cancer Research, the world’s largest professional organization dedicated to cancer
research.

  •  Marielle Santos McLeod, MHA, is a colorectal cancer survivor who leverages her lived
experience as a cancer advocate for several organizations and is the second woman to
join the board of Man Up to Cancer. She is the Director of Strategic Programs and
Partnerships for Cancer Hope Network, which provides one-on-one peer support to adult
cancer patients and their loved ones.
  •  Duane Seibel, owner of Duane K. Seibel Consulting, as a cancer survivor and member of
the Man Up to Cancer community based in Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada. He will
be instrumental in helping grow Man Up to Cancer’s already burgeoning presence among
Canada’s male cancer population.

  •  Ric Downs is a cancer survivor with more than 20 years of experience launching,
commercializing and scaling healthcare technology and medical devices. His lived
experience as a survivor and in the oncology and healthcare industry will be beneficial as
Man Up to Cancer seeks to grow its footprint across North America and around the world. 
“Our new board members bring with them unique strengths and experiences that will help
advance Man Up to Cancer’s work in offering peer-to-peer support and community-building to
men facing cancer,” said Michael Holtz, chairman of the Man Up to Cancer Board of Directors.
“It’s an exciting time for our organization, and I look forward to working with our entire board in
guiding our mission.”
The new board members join Trevor Maxwell, Founder of Man Up to Cancer; Martha
Raymond, Founder and CEO of both the Raymond Foundation and the GI Cancers Alliance;
and Joe Catarineau, Partner at Catarineau and Catarineau, LLC. Rolling off as voting members
of the board are Joe Bullock, who was recently promoted to Director of Programs and
Partnerships for Man Up to Cancer, and Don Helgeson, Chapter and Meetup Coordinator for
Man Up to Cancer. Bullock and Helgeson will continue to serve as ex-officio board members.

strengthening partnerships, and supporting program growth as Man Up to Cancer continues to
expand its national reach.
